How does this work?
Campspot Finder scores land for quiet wild-camping: flat, forested, away from roads,
buildings and trails, within a reasonable walk of wherever you're starting from.
Pick a region above, then click an amber-outlined area to explore it, or click
anywhere else to fetch real terrain data for that spot and score it live.
The heat map runs poor (red) to good (green). A criterion marked
required is a hard cutoff β falling short of it zeroes
the whole score there, no matter how good everything else is.
The β marker is your starting point (parking, a trailhead,
home). Drag it to re-score by walking distance from somewhere else β drop it outside the
loaded area and it'll explore that spot instead.
Click anywhere on the map to π inspect that exact spot's
score breakdown.
Toggle a requirement off to see how the map changes without it, or tighten/loosen its
threshold to match what you actually need.
