Campspot Finder

Find quiet camping spots: flat, forested, away from roads, buildings and trails.

Recommended: install from Terminal instead of clicking the button above. macOS only shows the "is damaged and can't be opened" warning for files a browser marks as downloaded from the internet — curl doesn't set that mark, so this installs with no warning at all: curl -L "…" | tar -xf - -C /Applications && open "/Applications/Campspot Finder.app"

Clicked the button instead? macOS will refuse to open it the first time, saying it's "damaged and can't be opened." It isn't damaged — that's just Gatekeeper's response to an app that's ad-hoc signed (no paid Apple developer certificate) once it's been downloaded through a browser. Fix it in Terminal (adjust the path if you moved the app out of Downloads): xattr -cr ~/Downloads/Campspot\ Finder.app Then double-click it normally — this only needs to be done once. Currently Apple Silicon Macs only.
